Today, we often think of familiars as a Witch's cuddly pet companion. Yet, this hasn't always been the case. Throughout history and folklore, there are countless records of familiars, whose identity and purpose stretch far beyond our modern definition. In this workshop we examine the origins of the familiar spirit, what they are and why they're important to the practice of Witchcraft. Along the way we will discuss how familiars were traditionally procured and cared for, the types of services they provided to Witches, and the offerings given to them in return. Our talk will culminate in practical advice on how to find and form a relationship with your own familiar spirit.
